Seeking Teenagrs for "Peter and the Starcatcher" Play
Looking for boys and girls ages 15 and up for the "Peter and the Starcatcher" Play. Please see the details below. About the project: This Tony Award-winning musical is based on best-selling novels and upends the century-old story of how an orphan boy becomes the legendary Peter Pan. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes. With characters such as Black Stache and Smee, this highly theatrical production playfully explores the depths of greed and despair, and the bonds of friendship, duty and love. The original Broadway production was a deliberately low-budget spectacle: an extravaganza of staging that relied on suggestion and storytelling. The script, jam-packed with poetry, fart jokes, gentle lyricism, and numerous nods to pop culture, is a coming-of-age adventure story about how a nameless orphan -- inspired by a remarkable and ambitious girl -- became the strange and celebrated hero that is the Boy Who Would Not Grow Up. Additional info: Anyone looking to audition must prepare a song to perform for the directing. Directors aren’t looking for the best voices, want people who can perform a story. There will be cold readings at the auditions. If interested, please apply.

A boy who doesn’t miss much. Nameless, homeless, and friendless at the beginning. A hero by the end. A Survivor. More than anything, he wants a home and a family.
Ambitious, hyper-articulate, logical; yearns to be a leader, but doesn’t have the courage to lead. A bit of a blowhard with just a touch of cowardice.
Obsessed with food. Loveable. A natural actor, an easy wit, perhaps a future poet.
A true leader at a time when girls are mostly followers. Will risk everything for the sake of doing right. Curious and intelligent. 13 years old but will grow up to be a great and strong woman.
