About the project: Once Upon a Mattress is a funny and fresh retelling of the classic fairy tale, The Princess and the Pea. The kingdom is in turmoil because no one can find a princess worthy of marrying the prince. Queen Aggravain has set impossible tests for potential brides, but when the unconventional Princess Winnifred arrives, everything changes. Filled with catchy songs and comedic moments, this show is a fantastic opportunity for young performers to showcase their talents in a fun and dynamic production. Additional info: Please note: there is a production fee applied. Performance Dates: March 21-23 March 28-30 Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsals will be held on Saturdays, with additional rehearsals closer to performance week. Audition Details: Prepare a song of your choice—there is no time limit, and it can be something simple like “Happy Birthday” or a favorite musical theater song. (Radio songs are not recommended.)
