Kids in Grades 4-12 are invited to audition for "The Best Time Of The Year" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: The Best Time of the Year: Holiday Favorites, an original cabaret performance. The cabaret includes seasonal favorites, including songs like “The Christmas Waltz,” “Let It Snow,” “Nuttin’ for Christmas,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” and more. Bonus Performance Opportunity! Directors are excited to offer an additional winter opportunity to be a part of Happy Holidays: Songs of the Season, a selection of songs and dances about our favorite time of year! With solo and small group opportunities, you will sing and dance to music celebrating the Holiday Season! The best part? By auditioning for Best Time of the Year, you are immediately eligible for casting in Happy Holidays! You can, of course, choose not to be considered by marking that you are not interested in your Happy Holidays audition form. Additional info: Vocal auditions are scheduled in 5-minute increments. A dance call for all students will be held on the same day. Vocal Audition: Please prepare 32 bars (up to 1 minute) of an up-tempo song and 32 bars (up to 1 minute) of a ballad. Holiday music is preferred – your audition song(s) may even end up in the show! You must bring your own karaoke trax on a mobile device; there will not be an accompanist present. Dance Audition: Come prepared with any type of dance shoe or gym shoe and clothes you can easily move in for a brief dance/movement audition. Rehearsals: Fridays 4-7pm 11/8, 11/15, 11/22 | Sundays 1-4pm 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, 12/1 Dress Rehearsal: Saturday, December 7th, 9am-12pm Performance: Sunday, December 8th, 7 pm.
