About the project: When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. Freaky Friday, a new musical based on the celebrated novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, is a heartfelt, comedic, and unexpectedly emotional update on an American classic. By spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another's struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter. Additional info: Please prepare a 1-minute to 1.5-minute song NOT from Freaky Friday. Please bring your own sheet music, or track, or have a YouTube link with start/stop times on a device ready to plug into a speaker or connect to Bluetooth. Anyone who is under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult to the audition. All audition sessions will be closed and parents/guardians will be asked to sit outside the audition room.
