Looking for kids and teens for the "Anne of Green Gables" Show. Please see the details below. About the project: This dramatization captures the charm and excitement of L.M. Montgomery’s enduring classic about an orphan girl, Anne Shirley, from her first encounter with her austere guardian to her thrilling graduation from Queen’s Academy. The play faithfully recreates the memorable events and characters from the brilliant novel. All the tragedies and triumphs that mark Anne’s growth from adolescence to early childhood are here: her friendship with Diana, feuds with Gilbert, her adoration of Matthew, the mistaken wine bottle, the cake disaster, her broken leg, the Scholastic achievements and the saving of Green Gables. Rate: This is a non-equity, volunteer position. Additional info: There will be cold readings from the script. Please bring a resume and headshot if you have them and come prepared to provide a list of schedule conflicts. Callbacks by invitation–September 18, 6:30-9 pm. Rehearsals between November 1st, 2024-January 18th, 2025. Performances: January 10th-January 19th, 2025 Friday and Saturday at 8 pm, Sundays at 2 pm. If interested, please apply.

The protagonist of the play in Act 2. Same as act 1 but we see her start to mature in emotionally and physically. Love interest to Gilbert. A small kids is received on her hand. Heavy line load. Must be a natural red head.
Diana is Anne’s best friend. Lovely girl. She comes from a very wealthy family. Prim & proper. Quite shy and triese to keep Anne out of trouble. Becomes drunk at Anne’s tea party. Act 1.
Same as Act 1. Becomes even more regal and dignified. Act 2.
A handsome and smart Avonlea boy who becomes Anne’s rival when he makes the mistake of teasing her about her red hair. Act 1.
Same personality as Act 1. He is very competitive with Anne and has fallen in love with her. Sacrifices his job for Anne. Act 2.
The School Master at Avonlea. He is an inattentive teacher and capricious disciplinarian. He spends his class time flirting with, Prissy Andrews.
Beautiful and flirtatious. Classmate of Anne. Also plays Mrs. Allan
Diana’s sassy little sister. Must be able to play dramatic well. She falls in with croup and almost dies but is saved by Anne.
Pretty but bratty. Know it all. She is snobby and is quite mean to Anne. Act 1.
Same as Act 1. Dares Anne to do something dangerous which results in Anne breaking her leg. Act 2.
Very pretty. The youngest of the many Gillis girls. Has learned a lot about growing up from her older sisters and loves to share her superior knowledge. She inclines toward the sentimental and hysterical fits. She cares more about her good looks and string of boyfriends than her studies. Act 1.

Pious student in Anne’s class. He wants to be a Pastor when he grows up. Act1
