Seeking kids ages 10-18 years old for "The Wind in the Willows". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: This riotous comedy follows Mole, Rat, Badger, and the impulsive Mr. Toad, whose insatiable need for speed lands him in serious trouble. With his beloved home under threat from the notorious Chief Weasel and his gang of sinister Wild Wooders, Toad must attempt a daring escape leading to a series of misadventures and a heroic battle to recapture Toad Hall. Full of humor, wit, a gorgeous, soaring score, and heartwarming lessons of friendship, THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS is the perfect fit for family audiences everywhere!” Additional info: Auditioners will sing first, then dance unless otherwise noted. (There are a couple of groups that dance first, so please note this when signing up.) Once a group is full, the group will no longer be available as a choice. Tenor/Baritone. Toad is the biggest character in The Wind in the Willows, as over the top as you can get. Loud, obnoxious, rich, and immature, he is quick to pick up and then dismiss expensive hobbies, most notably with motorcars. (Callback Song: The Amazing Mr. Toad)

Tenor. Chief Weasel, gangster and villain, is the head antagonist. He’s in charge of the Weasels, Stoats, and Foxes, terrorizing the other animals, conspiring to get Toad in jail, and leads the villainous group to take over Toad Hall. (Callback Song: We’re Taking Over the Hall)

Mrs. OtterFemale10-18 y.o.All ethnicities

Mezzo Mrs. Otter is quick and bright, and gains the respect of other animals by always being on hand to help when needed. She’s no-nonsense, helping lead the charge to take back Toad Hall and save her daughter. (Callback Song: Speed is of the Essence)

Baritone/Bass The ‘oldest’ of the animals, Badger is a stoic and solitary character who lives in the Wild Wood. He is friendly and hospitable, caring deeply for his friends—and he ‘s the one who works hardest to reform Toad’s habits. (Callback Song: A Friend is Still a Friend)

Mrs. Hedgehog is a sensible woman who looks after her 2 small children—and who despises Toad because he drives so fast and carelessly.
