Picture an evening pastime—before the emergence of television—for home entertainment: “From the far horizons of the unknown come transcribed tales of new dimensions in time and space . . .” Visualize a family gathering around their wood-framed ‘box’ as each eagerly awaits the beginning of the next episode of a favorite genre—western; mystery; or a Ray Bradbury science fiction tale. All are voiced by actors practiced in the art of bringing a story to life from behind the microphone of a studio booth.
