Young Talent Wanted for "Dracula" Play

Theatre announces auditions for "Dracula" play. In search of cast minors. Please see the details below. SYNOPSIS: A tale long-seeped into the popular consciousness, with a fresh focus. An real estate transaction goes terrifyingly wrong. An asylum patient speaks truths no one will listen to. One woman despairs at ever seeing her fiance again, while another woman grows paler and sicker by the day. A desperate doctor reaches out to an old friend to help solve a mysterious illness, but people keep disappearing and turning up dead. Dracula is coming, but first… you have to invite him in. The underlying anxieties of the novel – fear of female sexuality, treatment of the mentally ill, lurking same-sex attraction between men, and uncomfortable relationships with the working-class – are brought to the forefront in this sharp adaptation. Additional info: PLEASE NOTE: The show contains suggested nudity, intimacy, and sexual violence. They will work with an intimacy coordinator to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety. Performers must be 18 years of age and older. CALLBACKS: Wednesday, September 4th, 6:30 pm-10:00 pm. Rehearsals will begin the week of September 15th. Rehearsals will run four days most weeks, including some weekends. Depending on your role, you will not be called to every rehearsal.
