Dance Opportunities for Kids in "Annie" Show
Kids ages 6 and up are invited to audition for the "Annie" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: If you are auditioning for Annie or any of the orphans please prepare excerpts from either “Tomorrow” or “Maybe”. If you are auditioning for any other role please prepare 32 bars in the style of the role you are auditioning for. You may choose between songs from the show or songs from shows in a similar style. All will be required to cold read from the script. All will be taught a short dance date and then will perform the dance in front of the directors in small groups. No parents will be allowed to observe the audition. Dress comfortably. Everyone who is auditioning will be asked to cold-read from the script. Your picture may be taken as part of the audition process. This will be to facilitate casting, costume, and make-up requirements for the show. You may be asked to stay longer after your audition if the director needs to speak to you. See the attachment for details and audition material. If interested, please apply.

(strong mover, vocal range A3-E5, strong young belt with wide range)- Annie is a tough streetwise orphan with contagious optimism. She continues to hold on to this in spite of the many struggles she has faced in her young life. She believes that her parents are out there waiting for her. Please note that this actress will be working closely with a dog. This is a very demanding role and will require this actress to be at most–if not all–rehearsals.
