Casting Teen Performers for "White Christmas" Show
Audition for "White Christmas" Show. Looking for performers ages 17+. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features 17 Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. With a dazzling score featuring well-known standards including “Blue Skies,” “I Love A Piano,” “How Deep Is the Ocean” and the perennial title song, White Christmas is an uplifting, wholesome musical that will delight audiences of all ages. Rate: Lead roles and adult ensemble members will receive a small travel stipend. Additional info: This is a non-equity, community theater production. Dancers are strongly encouraged to participate. An accompanist will not be provided so be sure to have your music with you on a device. Bluetooth capabilities and an aux cord will be available. AUDITIONS: Prepare a ballad or up-tempo song from the traditional musical theater era. 16-32 bars or 1-1/2 minutes is enough. CALLBACKS: July 18, 6:00-9:30 pm, by invitation only. May include dance, readings from the script, and vocalization. If you are called back for auditions, you will receive an email following the auditions.
