Teen Boy Needed for "The Addams Family" Show

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. "The Addams Family" show is currently in need of a boy ages 13-16. More details are below. About the show: Based on comic characters created by Charles Addams in a series of magazine cartoons and popularized by the 1960’s tv series and 1990’s movies. In the kooky, upside-down world of the Addams Family the quirky family still has to deal with many of the same challenges faced by any other family, and the spookiest nightmare faced by every family creates the focus, the Addams kids are growing up. While the Addamses have lived by their unique values for hundreds of years their dark, macabre, beloved daughter Wednesday, is now an eighteen year-old young woman and has fallen in love with Lucas Beineke, a sweet, smart boy from a normal, respectable Ohio family — the most un-Addams sounding person one could be! And to make matters worse, she has invited his parents to their home for dinner. In one fateful, hilarious night, secrets are disclosed, relationships are tested, and the Addams family must face up to the one horrible thing they’ve managed to avoid for generations: change. Rate: This is a NON-PAYING/NON-EQUITY show. Additional information: Those auditioning should prepare a song (preferably from the Addams Family Musical or similar musical comedy theatre) and be prepared to read from selected scenes from the script. Please bring a device to play back your accompaniment track. If from The Addams Family, we can supply the track. When emailing for an audition slot, please indicate the character you are trying out for or the Ensemble. Script sides will be sent for preparation. Memorization is not necessary. Show Dates are November 14 to 23rd– 9 shows. Selected cast members are expected to be available for all shows. Rehearsals shall begin in August through to November.
