Casting Call for Boys and Girls for Upcoming Shows
Seeking kids ages 10-14 years old for "The Big Bad Musical" and ages 8 and up for "Pippin". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Requirement: -Sing a 16-32 bar selection from a Broadway Show. -Perform a one to two-minute comedic monologue. -An accompanist will be provided. Please do NOT bring any recorded tracks etc. Callbacks will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, August 17th. Note: If you are cast in either show there will be a participation show fee applied, that helps support the show and its theatrical elements and performance spaces, plus the fee also includes the: -Four comp tickets (FREE) two per show. -Cast Dinner during the tech week -Costumes and Props -Scripts and Performance Materials Rehearsals: As long as directors know up front, they can work around schedules. The Big Bad Musical: Mondays starting August 19th, 6:30 pm-9:00 pm Tech rehearsals: Sept 16th, 18th, 19th, and 20th from 6:30 pm-9:30 pm. Performances: Saturday, Sept. 21st at 3 pm and 6:30 pm. The call is 1:00 pm. Pippin Thursdays starting September 5th, 6:30 pm-9:30 pm (Dance and Music) Mondays and Thursdays starting September 23rd, 6:30 pm-9:30 pm Saturday, September 28th, October 5th from 10am-2pm and October 19th- 10am-3pm Tech rehearsals: October 21st- 24th from 6:30pm-9:45pm Performances: Friday, October 25th, and Saturday, October, 26th at 7:30 P.M. Our story's young and confused protagonist. He is longing to find his purpose in life. Naive, innocent, and discontent. Eventually finds love, and meaning in life, with Catherine and Theo.
Pippin's demanding father. As the King of the Holy Roman Empire, Charlemagne is more comfortable wielding a sword than breaking bread. He wears his years with great pride.
Pippin's conniving stepmother. A seductress, who is no stranger to deceit and betrayal, she is both sexy and smart. Skilled at using her sexual appeal to benefit her and her son.
Charlemagne and Fastrada’s son. Strong and not bright. Pippin’s halfbrother and after Pippin, heir to the throne. Addicted to the physical, Lewis loves weight lifting, Lewis loves wrestling, but most of all, Lewis loves Lewis.
Pippin's saucy grandmother. A brassy woman full of wisdom, grace, and sass. She tries to help Pippin and encourages him to live his life to the fullest.
A widow and mother. She is a beautiful and hopeless romantic, who possesses graceful elegance. Encounters Pippin at his lowest point and eventually falls in love with him.
