Young Talent Wanted for Singing Audition "Honk Jr."

The auditions for "Honk! Jr." are open to actors aged 6-18 years old. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: No experience or previous acting experience is required. Directors want to see actors of all experience levels! They will split the auditions into 4 blocks and you will be asked to choose only one audition block to attend later in this form. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your audition block so they can begin on time. Remember: Early is on time, On Time is late, and Late is unacceptable. What directors want to see at auditions: Music: Please prepare a song from the show OR another song that really highlights your voice. This is your moment to really shine, so choose something that makes you feel comfortable and shows off your vocal abilities. Pre-recorded tracks are preferable, though there will be an accompanist on hand. You may be asked to sing a few warm-ups just to check your vocal range. You may not be asked to sing your entire song selection, so don't worry if you are stopped at any point. Movement: please dress in clothing and shoes that you can move in! Short combinations will be taught. Formal dance training is not required; directors want to see how quickly you pick up combinations and how well you move. (If you do have formal tap training and tap shoes, bring them!) Acting: Directors would love to see a short (60 Seconds or less) monologue that really shows off your talents and personality. Monologues are not required, however, and directors will provide some short sides for anyone who does not come with a monologue prepared. They encourage monologues because they give young actors auditioning the ability to prepare and come in with confidence. There will also be some group dry reading from the script, to give actors a chance to read some lines from roles in the show. Above all directors want everyone to feel comfortable and ready to have fun, everyone to have their best audition possible and leave with smiles, wanting to audition some more.
