Casting Call for Upcoming Short Film for a Girl
Casting girls ages 7-14 for a short scene in a UCLA student film. See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: La Cigal is a short film inspired by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot's painting "La Cigale" and Aesop's fable "The Grasshopper and the Ant." The film follows a Bohemian violinist who finds herself daydreaming alone in a dusky wood. Through a series of vivid flashbacks, she relives the joyful moments of her past-blissful love, her father teaching her the violin, and a triumphant performance. These warm memories are contrasted with darker recollections of a failed relationship, a disappointed father, and performing to an empty concert hall. Rate: Can pay a 100-150 flat rate per actor.
