Teen Boy Needed for "The Chosen" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are looking for a boy ages 16-18 for the production of "The Chosen". See the details below. About the play: Set against the backdrop of 1940s Brooklyn, two boys living five blocks away and two worlds apart — one from a Hasidic dynasty, the other traditional Orthodox. When Reuven is injured by Danny during a heated baseball game between their rival yeshivas, a unique friendship is born. As the boys grow to manhood, they are forced to learn important lessons about each other, their fathers, and themselves. It is a timeless story about faith, family, and friendship and the universal struggles of growing up, making difficult decisions, and finding one's place in the world. Additional information: Performance Dates: September 19-26, 2024. Actors selected for an audition will be contacted and given a time and location.
