Seeking Actors for "Shoelace" Audition Movie

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Searching for boys and girls ages 11-14 for "Shoelace" film. More details are below. About the project: A story of the passing of a child's grandmother told entirely from the perspective of their shoes. They begin the day, ride in the car to the hospital, wait while their mother speaks with the doctor/nurse, ride home from the hospital, and ultimately end up at their grandmother's funeral. They have a basic understanding of what's occurring around them, but they are young, and don't fully grasp the concept of death yet. Rate: Non union. No Monetary Compensation. Additional information: AUDITION LOCATION Online-Only. SHOOT/PERFORMANCE DATE(S) Mar 15-17th (2024). SHOOT/PERFORMANCE LOCATION(S) Burnaby/Vancouver, B.C. SUBMISSION DEADLINE February 28, 2024. This shoot will take place in 3-5 different locations over the course of 1-2 days. Shooting periods are likely to last 1-2 hours per location. Actor's faces will never be shown on-camera, but their (clothed) feet and legs will. No stunts and little on-screen movement is required. Looking mainly based on vocal and gestural performance. This is a low-budget and low-commitment student project with no monetary compensation, but that may be posted to film festivals. The chosen cast would be needed for a short number of hours over the course of a weekend. Transportation to/from multiple locations will likely be necessary (but may be included). There will be limited dialogue, and lines are encouraged to be memorized, but this is not imperative.
