Casting Teen Performers for "Peter and the Starcatcher" Show

About the project: Peter and the Starcatcher is the backstory for Peter Pan, the Lost Boys, and Captain Hook. Peter, who, at the beginning of the play is called Boy, meets the play’s heroine, Molly. She is on a mission to save the world while protecting a trunk full of magical stardust. Molly and Boy/Peter learn about love, friendship, and unbreakable bonds. There are two ships, The Neverland whose captain is Slank, and The Wasp, a ship that has been taken over by pirates led by, The Black Stache (Hook). This is a fantastical, witty, and humorous play with music. Rate: Non-Union, Unpaid. Additional info: Most sing some. It requires a lot of imagination. Directors are going to have so much fun collaborating and making magic happen! There will be levitation, flying cats and alligators, and anything else directors can think up during the process. One does not need to be an amazing singer to join this cast. Directors will teach a couple of short melodies to everyone during the audition process. Directors will also engage in some fun improv activities for sound and movement, so dress comfortably. Please bring your best English accent! And be willing to tell an exciting story. It can be real or imagined, no more than one minute long, please. There will be cold readings including monologues and scenes from the script. Auditions will include learning and singing some short melody lines from the show, improv exercises, and cold readings from the script. In addition, please prepare an exciting one-minute story, real or imagined, that best shows your talents. Show dates: May 31, June 1, 2 (Relaxed performance) 7, 8, 9. Read through/First Rehearsal: Sunday, March 10 at 7:00 pm. Rehearsals will generally be held on Sundays (some evenings, mostly afternoons), Mondays (evenings), and Thursdays (evenings) You may not be called to every rehearsal. Directors promise to respect your time. Mandatory tech week– May 25-30 (with at least one night off). If you are interested in auditioning but unable to make one of the initial audition dates, please prepare a 2-minute story, real or imagined, or monologue of your choice in an English accent as well as 16-32 bars of a song with accompaniment, then email the video.
