Seeking Children for "Descendants: The Musical"
Auditions for Disney's "Descendants: The Musical" are open to children ages 8 through 12. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Auditions for this show require singing, acting, and dancing. Auditioners should come with sheet music, digital recording, or compact disc, as accompaniment of a song in the style of the show. Please prepare approximately 16-30 bars of music. No recorded music with vocals or a cappella singing is allowed. A piano accompanist will be provided. Auditioners should wear attire appropriate for movement. Dance shoes, character shoes, and sneakers are acceptable. NO open-toed shoes, flip flops, crocs, or bare feet are allowed. Callbacks Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. Please wear attire appropriate for movement. Dance shoes, character shoes, and sneakers are acceptable, but NO open-toed shoes, flip-flops, crocs, or bare feet are allowed. If cast, it is important that you are available for rehearsals and performances. Rehearsals: Rehearsals begin Feb. 25th (Tues/Thurs/Sun). Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. On Sunday, rehearsals are from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. It is mandatory that all performers are at every tech rehearsal and performance. Son of the Beast and Belle. He is a classically regal, optimistic kid who bears the weight of soon becoming King of Auradon.
Ben’s father and King of Auradon. Royal and rule-driven, he knows a bit about being marginalized.
Ben’s mother and Queen of Auradon. Warm, but cautious, she doesn’t understand her son’s generation.
Headmistress of Auradon Prep. Busy and bubbly, she’ll do anything to keep the school afloat.
Fairy Godmother’s daughter. Meek and mousy, but hungry for aDen6on, she’s looking for her moment to shine.
Cinderella and Prince Charming’s son. An arrogant and spoiled blockhead, he’s never wanted for anything.
Sleeping Beauty’s daughter. The malicious queen bee of Auradon Prep, she has her eye on the throne.
Dopey’s son. Nerdy and sweet, he does all the work that his fellow students don’t want to do.
