Searching for boys and girls ages 7-18 years old to audition for "Finding Nemo Jr." Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves. Additional info: Prepare 16-32 bars of an age-appropriate song in your range that also shows off your acting skills! Be sure to BRING SHEET MUSIC or A BACKUP TRACK OF YOUR SONG ON YOUR PHONE (no singing can be on the backup track.) Arrive on the day of your audition at least 10 MINUTES early to sign in. Finally, bring YOUR COMPLETED AUDITION FORM & ATTENDANCE POLICY attached, AND ALL MONDAY-SUNDAY CONFLICTS (including holidays) FROM January 7 – March 9, WRITTEN ON THE BACK OF THE AUDITION FORM. Directors require ALL cast members to be available for every night of tech rehearsals and ALL shows. (Conflicts added after casting may result in being asked to step down from the show.) They will hold a mandatory 30-minute dance audition after singing time slots, so bring clothes you can change into so that you can move well. Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, January 7. A general rule of thumb is to rehearse on Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons, and Sunday afternoons. Directors will work with leads on Mondays and Wednesdays during the week if necessary. During tech week, (the week before the show opens), your child will have mandatory rehearsal every evening from 5:30-9:00. If this is too late for your child, please do not have them auditon. The final dress WILL go much later, as it is a Friday evening. Directors will get the full schedule out to you before the first rehearsal. PLEASE submit all conflicts on the back of your AUDITION FORM attached (not the Attendance Policy). They will not be accepting any conflicts for the week of tech week or any shows, and please note, as always, that your conflicts may affect casting decisions. CALLBACKS: If needed, Monday, Dec. 11 at 6:00 PM. PERFORMANCES: February 24, 25, and March 1, 2. Download the attachments for audition forms, complete and bring them to the auditions.
