"Fiddler on the Roof" Show Looking for Kids & Teens
"Fiddler on the Roof" Show is looking for kids ages 8 and above to audition. Please see the details below. About the project: Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality, and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy, and sadness. Additional info: Bring a resume/headshot if you have one. Please prepare 32 bars from a song of your choice (around 1-2 minutes total from a song) that showcases your voice. Please prepare to sing a cappella (with no accompaniment) for your audition. When you arrive you will fill out an audition form and then the director(s) will see auditioners in the order they arrive.
