Seeking Teenagers for "Tuck Everlasting" Play
Audition for boys and girls ages 14+ for "Tuck Everlasting" Play. Please see the details below About the project: Eleven-year-old Winnie Foster yearns for a life of adventure beyond her white picket fence, but not until she becomes unexpectedly entwined with the Tuck Family does she get more than she could have imagined. When Winnie learns of the magic behind the Tuck’s unending youth, she must fight to protect their secret from those who would do anything for a chance at eternal life. As her adventure unfolds, Winnie faces an extraordinary choice: return to her life, or continue with the Tucks on their infinite journey. The musical is based on the classic 1975 novel by Natalie Babbitt which has become a staple in many classroom reading lists and is beloved by many readers both young and old. Additional info: Registration begins at 6:00 pm. Auditionees will need to prepare a 1-minute cutting of a musical theater song with no backing vocals that best shows their vocal range. A piano accompanist will be available as well as a Bluetooth speaker with access to Spotify and YouTube. There will also be a dance audition so please wear appropriate footwear to dance. Those auditioning should also be prepared to read from the script. If necessary, callbacks will be held on Wednesday, December 6th. Rehearsals will be held Sundays through Thursdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and are set to begin the week of Dec. 18th. Some rehearsals may take place on Saturdays on an as-needed basis, dependent upon cast availability. A few rehearsals will be held off-site until regularly scheduled in the theater beginning January, 16th. Performance Information: Tuck Everlasting: The Musical will open Friday, February 16th, and run for three weekends: February 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, and March. 1, 2, 3, 2024. If interested, please apply.
