Kids Wanted for "Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach"

Yadkinville, NC, United States
ID: 561050Exp: 12/2/2023
Description:

The directors are searching for children to participate in "Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach." Please refer to the details provided below. About the project: When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach... and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach – among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities – but, after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean, the group faces hunger, sharks, and plenty of disagreements. Thanks to James' quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family. The dangerous voyage is a success, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building. Additional info: Sunday, December 3rd, Possible Callbacks. Rehearsals begin with a meet and greet/workshop in December, then regular rehearsals begin at the top of January. SHOW DATES: Monday, February 26 through Friday, March 1st each day at 9 a.m. (school performances) and Saturday, March 2nd at 7:30 p.m. (only public performance) Auditionees should prepare to sing 32-bars (or 1 minute) of a song from the Musical Theatre genre. Please provide your own sheet music for the accompanist or plan to use a karaoke track online (YouTube, Spotify, etc.) Auditionees will also cold-read from the show’s script and may be asked to perform a basic dance combination to see how well they move.
