"A Christmas Carol" is looking for actors ages 4 and above. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: This haunting adaptation set in the mysterious and magical New Orleans, breathes fantastic new life into the classic tale of A Christmas Carol. Ebenezer Scrooge is a prosperous curmudgeon who believes that personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others. With an infuriated "Bah! Humbug!" Scrooge summates his feelings about Christmas tidings and charitable giving but is forced to face his selfish ways when three ghosts on Christmas Eve lead him through his Past, Present, and Future. Thanks to their guidance, Scrooge recognizes his faults and greets Christmas morning with a cheerful "Happy Christmas" before spending the day reconnecting and sharing love with those who mean the most to him. Rate: THIS IS A NON-PAYING GIG. Additional info: The audition will also consist of cold readings from the script. Please be dressed appropriately for movement. (DO NOT ATTEND IN COSTUME). A headshot and resume would be greatly appreciated. If bringing please have your headshot and resume, stapled together. PERFORMANCE INFO: Weekends, November 30 – December 17, 2023. This show opens on Black Friday and will have tech rehearsals the week of Thanksgiving. REHEARSAL INFO: Rehearsal is generally held Monday through Friday 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM with possibly weekend rehearsals as tech week approaches.
