Two Children Needed for Upcoming Short Film
Looking for 2 male child actors (ages 8-12) to appear in a short film at SDSU. I’m a filmmaker pursing my MFA at the university. Filming would take place on Saturday, September 30th sometime between the hours of 7 AM - 1 PM. Schedule is flexible based upon availability. Script will be provided upon request. Logline: A homeless drifter, blood leaking from his nose, seeks shelter inside an abandoned apartment building. Once inside, he finishes the rest of the drugs in his pocket and begins to rearrange the dilapidated furniture of what was once a family home, all while being spied on by unexpected visitors (the kids). Unpaid but we’ll have lunch, can pay for gas, and will be a good opportunity to add to a reel. *there is a scene where the protagonist uses drugs, however this scene would not feature the kids*

The children enter the house at various times throughout the piece, both as a very literal presence and to represent John’s dying innocence. John observes them through dazed eyes as they explore the apartment, peek through windows, and play with the WWE action figures and ring they’ve set up inside. *some of John’s scenes feature graphic drug use, but these scenes are brief in nature and separate from the children*
