Through the Woods SFSU Thesis Short Film: Elise
FILM DESCRIPTION: Through the Woods is an experimental mixed media drama that explores the process in which dejected 21 year old Zoe must guide mysterious seven year old Elise through the forest and back to the main road. Elise is the one who is lost, but it is Zoe that finds herself as the journey leads her to reconnect with and honor her emotionally damaged inner child. Rehearsals 1-2x a week throughout October, shooting in Bay Area November 10-12 OR 17-19th. Majority of the shoot takes places outside in the forest. Pay $50-$100, dependent on budget. AUDITION MATERIALS Please submit resume, slate, and sides. If selected for a call back, must be available to audition in person Tuesday, September 26th from 7-9 PM at San Francisco State University.

Elise is a seven-year-old Black girl without a care or fear in the world. She is bright-eyed, curious, and optimistic. She loves to play and explore.
Young Zoe is the embodiment of childhood. She is happy go lucky Black girl who knows she is deeply loved and spreads positivity to those around her. Non-speaking role.
