"Elf the Musical" Seeks Teenagers
Searching for performers ages 11 and above for "Elf the Musical". Please see the details below. About the project: William "Buddy" Hobbs, a young orphan child, mistakenly crawls into Santa Claus' bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. After discovering the baby, Santa and his elves decide to raise the child as an elf. Years later, Buddy finds out that he's actually a human being and, at Santa's prompting, heads off to New York City in search of his father, Walter Hobbs. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his birth family and help NYC remember the true meaning of Christmas. Additional info: Singing and reading auditions will be held on Sept. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 7. Those auditioning should prepare a musical selection to sing and bring printed sheet music for the accompanist if the number is not from "Elf the Musical." Scripts will be provided for the reading auditions. Dance auditions, for ages 15 and older, will be on Saturday, Oct. 8. Dance combinations will be taught, so those auditioning should dress to dance.
