Casting Call for Paid Film "Buka Naija"

About the project: Mama B is a cultural Nigerian woman who is rooted in her Nigerian-Yoruba culture, she loves cooking and had a very successful restaurant in the heart of Lagos Nigeria. After her husband died, she migrated to Canada with her 2 children in 2001, and worked as a caregiver for years, saving money to open her own restaurant in Canada. 10 years later Mama B finally opens a Nigerian Restaurant in Canada called Buka Plus, but with the new business comes the daily hassles of running the place. Each day comes with different recipes of dramas, with different struggles, cultural differences and challenges of running a local restaurant business in a foreign land while still struggling to raise her teenage son and twenty-five year old who won't stop reminding her they are grown ups. She wants to raise them the Nigerian way (old-fashioned). The kids are trying hard to get their mother to start seeing life differently and to live in the moment and not the past. Rate: Non union.
