"Julius Caesar" Play Needs Teenagers

"Julius Caesar" Play is looking for performers who are 13 years old and above. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Julius Caesar, which takes place at the height of the Roman Republic, features some of Shakespeare’s most iconic lines, complex characters, and themes that are still relevant today. Some Senators are concerned that Caesar poses a threat to democracy. The revolutionaries take the violent decision to murder him. As the world spins out of control, the chaos leads to civil war. The play examines the consequences of free will, the nature of loyalty, and the merits of democracy. Additional info: Actors should come prepared to present a one-minute memorized monologue from Shakespeare. See the attachment for audition monologues. There will be NO Participation Fee/ tuition for this production. Call Backs will be Wednesday, September 27 from 6:00 - 9:00 REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES Beginning on October 17th, rehearsals are on Tuesday nights and Wednesday nights from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at St. Roch's School Cafeteria. Rehearsals are two nights a week in October, November, and December (with breaks for holidays). Beginning in January we will rehearse three nights a week: on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. January 28 - February 1 are mandatory Tech Week Rehearsals at the Indy Fringe Theater in Indianapolis.
