In Need of Children for "A Christmas Carol: The Musical"
"A Christmas Carol: The Musical" is in need of children and teenagers. Please refer to the details below for more information. About the project: A favorite Triad holiday tradition returns with High Point Community Theatre’s musical version of Charles Dickens’ classic holiday tale. Ebenezer Scrooge is a prosperous curmudgeon who believes personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others. With an infuriated "Bah! Humbug!" Scrooge summates his feelings of Christmas tidings and charitable giving, but he's forced to face his selfish ways when three ghosts on Christmas Eve lead him through his Past, Present, & Future. Thanks to their guidance, Scrooge recognizes his faults and greets Christmas morning with a cheerful "Happy Christmas" before spending the day reconnecting and sharing love with those that mean the most to him. Additional info: Please prepare a 30-60 second, memorized musical selection in the style of the show. An accompanist will be available so please provide your own sheet music in the correct key. A sound system will be available for those using a track, but it is not preferred. Acapella auditions are strongly discouraged. There will be a dance audition so please have comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear (you should prepare the provided dance combination(s) in advance of your audition). The directors encourage you to bring your completed audition form, conflict calendar, and consent form to the audition.
