Looking for actors ages newborn and above to act in a Psychological Thriller Feature Film. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Rate: Ultra Low Budget. All Roles Paid (Compensation Varies by Role, negotiable for known talent. 10% Agent Fees paid when applicable.) Additional info: All roles Houston, TX. local unless talent is known. Callbacks 6/17/2023. Table Read/Rehearsal: Late June 2023. Production Start: 7/17/2023. Note: The project depicts child abuse and adult themes. Persons who are sensitive to these topics should not submit. When applying, please send your theatrical headshot, resume, size card, and either self-tape of sides for the character (see the attachment for details) or, if no sides are referenced and no instructions are provided within the character description, a demo reel or 60-90 second dramatic monologue. Please make sure your self-taped sides are not uploaded for public viewing. Videos should be sent as a link and include passwords in the body of the email if required. LEAD. Finnish/German appearance (blond/light brunette hair, blue, green, or hazel eyes) preferred. Petite/younger appearance. Younger Stella will need to deliver lines with up to six sentences. She is normally bright, conscientious, kind and obedient, and at times frightened. Intense scenes will be shot without a child, so she’ll need to be able to convincingly act afraid without context.

STELLA 2Female5-7 y.o.White / Caucasian

German/Finnish descent (blond hair, blue, green, or hazel eyes preferred) who is often mistaken for a three-year-old due to her small stature. She is smart, caring, nurturing, empathetic, conscientious, and obedient nature. Must be able to recite a line one to two sentences long when prompted. She will sing a verse for each of the three songs. NOTE: The character undergoes implied abuse; all such scenes will be shot when child talent is not allowed on set for emotional safety purposes.

STELLA 3Female3-4 y.o.White / Caucasian

MINOR/SUPPORTING] to play petite 3-year-old of Finnish/German descent (blond hair, blue/green/hazel eyes preferred). This role includes lines up to 3 sentences. The character undergoes implied abuse; all such scenes will be shot when child talent is not allowed on set for emotional safety purposes. Instead of sides, self-tape the following: “I love you, Grandma” then sing up to a verse and chorus of a favorite children’s song or provide a link to a demo reel.

MINOR/SUPPORTING, to play a 2-year-old of Finnish/German descent (blond hair, blue/green/hazel eyes preferred). The character will kiss the father character (Carl) and undergoes implied abuse. (Scenes depicting abuse will be shot when child actors are not allowed on set.) Instead of sides, self-tape the following: “I love you, Grandma” then sing up to a verse and chorus of a favorite children’s song or provide a link to a demo reel.

MINOR/SUPPORTING, to play about 18 to 19 months old of Finnish/German descent (blond hair, blue/green/hazel eyes preferred). Sweet, smart toddler who repeats up to 4 words on cue. She’ll need to be potty trained enough to shoot a quick scene in “big girl” clothes and will need to walk well enough to pretend to vacuum with a push toy. Instead of sides, self-tape the following: “I love you, Grandma” then sing up to a verse and chorus of a favorite children’s song or provide a link to a demo reel.

GLENDA 1Female6-8 y.o.White / Caucasian

MINOR/SUPPORTING]to play 6 to 7-year-old of Finnish/German descent (light eyes/light hair preferred). Glenda is an impetuous busybody, the younger sister to the main character, Stella. Must be able to deliver short lines and follow directions. Mid-American or no accent. Use any above Stella slides for self-tape or submit a demo reel.

GLENDA 2Female2-3 y.o.White / Caucasian

MINOR/SUPPORTING], appears Finnish/German descent (light hair, light eyes preferred) Impetuous and curious, she is the younger sister of the main character, Stella. Speaks two four-word sentences, and sings a Christmas carol verse with the family (doesn’t have to get song words right). Mid-American or no accent. May submit a self-tape of a child singing a verse and chorus from a Christmas or children’s song. Ok to sing along with a parent/guardian as long as the child can be heard over an adult.

MINOR 0 to 2 months, girl or boy play newborn Finnish/German girl with light or no hair. Will be held by various cast members while sitting, get swaddled, and need to be tolerant of bright lights. The parent will be responsible for changing the wardrobe between scenes and attending June's table read. Due to production timing, this role will be cast in late June. Please submit a photo of a child without a hat on, preferably with eyes open.

MINOR, 2 to 4 months old, girl or boy to play 2 to 3 months old Finnish/German infant girl (light hair, blue/green/hazel eyes). Parent’s hands may be used in some scenes and parents will need to be able to elicit a smile from the infant. Will need to work under bright lights for short periods of time. Casting from photos/videos. The infant should be healthy and able to be on camera for up to 30 minutes at a time.

STELLA 8Both genders0-0 y.o.White / Caucasian

MINOR 4 to 6 months, girl or boy to play 5-month-old Finnish/German female infant (light hair, blue/green/hazel eyes). Parent’s hands may be used in some scenes and parents will need to be able to elicit a smile from the infant. Will need to work under bright lights for short periods of time and lay on stomach momentarily, so should be able to hold head up. Parents should be available to participate in the June table read.

MINOR, 6 months to 1 year old, girl, boy to play 9-month-old Finnish/German female baby (light hair, blue/green/hazel eyes). Sits in a high chair, lays on stomach and bats at a toy, laughs when engaged.
