About the project: Grieving for his grandfather who hasn't yet passed, a young aspiring photographer searches for ways to cope. Rate: Key actors will be paid a day rate of 200$, though payment will likely be deferred. This is a self-funded independent passion project. Additional info: Non-Union. Young Mac is our lead in a flashback. This is the day his grandfather gives him a handmedown film camera. Young Mac idolizes his grandfather because of the absence of his own father. The two of them along with Mac's mother are going for a walk today, and Young Mac is trying to figure out how to use this old camera. He is turning the aperture ring, the shutter ring. But since it is film he cannot see the errors he's making. This day marks the beginning of Mac's passion for photography.
