"Young Frankenstein" Play In Search of Teens

Seeking teens aged 16-18 for "Young Frankenstein" play. Please see the details below. About the project: The grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced "Fronk-en-steen") inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced "Eye-gore"), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. "It's alive!" he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds. Young Frankenstein has all of the panache of the screen sensation with an extra theatrical flair. A perfect opportunity for you to showcase an array of talents, you'll be "Puttin' on the Ritz" and having a monstrously good time with Young Frankenstein. Additional info: A diverse cast is desired and all ethnicities will be considered for every role. Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song of your choice, something light or comical - NO BALLADS. Bring recorded accompaniment on your phone if possible or sheet music. Also, come prepared to learn 16 bars of choreography. This show has a large ensemble that will have lots of stage time! Limited vocal and choreography rehearsals will begin in June/July, we will try to work around people's schedules. Full rehearsals start August 7. Come prepared to fill out a conflict sheet. (Conflict Sheet available here) Performances: October 5-7, 13-14, 19-21 at 7:30 pm and October 15 at 2:00 pm.
