"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat" Seeks Kids

3 actresses who are engaging storytellers with a strong singing voice (high B to E full range ). Must be able to sing tight 3 part harmony and move well.

Tenor. Charming, honest, and warm. The eleventh son of Jacob. Obviously his father's favourite, Joseph early on shows a talent for interpreting dreams and telling the future. This gets him into trouble with his brothers when he predicts his future will include ruling over the other eleven. However, it saves his life when in Egypt he correctly interprets Pharaoh's dreams. In the end he has risen to a great position of power, but he still forgives his brothers and brings his family to Egypt.

There are eleven brothers. Must have strong singing voices and ability to dance. The show depends on contrasting characters of various shapes, nationalities and sizes. Selected brothers will feature in certain numbers ie. “One More Angel in Heaven” (Country Western style.) “Benjamin Calypso” (Tropical), “Canaan Days” A strong comedy actor to sing over the top French style.

There are eleven females. Must be excellent dancers and singers.

Wife of Potiphar. Attempts to seduce Joseph, but to no avail. A Katherine O’Hara type. Will also be Ensemble.

This featured role at the start of Act 2 requires an excellent Elvis Presley impersonator who moves well. Will also be a Brother/Ensemble.

Will understudy all male parts and will cast various roles from Male Ensemble, i.e. BUTLER and BAKER (Tenor Baritone)- Must have strong singing voices and strong dance abilities.

Will understudy wives- Must have strong singing voices and ability to dance. Sopranos (to High C)

Must be 8 years old to audition. Strong acting skills, great listeners, able to take direction and pay attention. Strong singing and dancing skills and possess a genuine sense of fun!
