Young Actors Needed for Upcoming Short Films

Casting young actors ages 15 and above for Upcoming Short Films. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: This project consists of 6 short films that will be used as training videos for a counseling services program. The films will focus on mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, substance abuse, etc. Rate: These particular roles do not pay, but it will be a great experience for reels and resumes, along with an IMDB credit for anyone who is cast. Additional info: Filming will take place this Spring 2023 and will be done on weekends. The majority of the filming will take place on the campus of the University of Clear Lake-Houston. This is a non-union project. Along with the filming crew, a make-up artist will be on-site to work with the primary actors. Food will be provided for the set on scheduled shoot days. When applying, please send a video audition including the following: In the subject line of the email put your name, age, and gender, followed by the word “Audition” (example: Jane Smith, 12, Female, - Audition). Include a headshot and resume. Do not send a resume without sending a headshot along with it. If you haven’t acted before, that’s fine, but please mention that and send a headshot. In the body of the email, please list the following: Directors will send you further instructions on how to submit your video audition for consideration, which can be shot with your cell phone. You will also receive an audition information sheet to fill out. If directors are interested after receiving your audition, they will follow up with a video interview. EXTRAS: If you are only interested in being an extra, please follow the instructions above, but use the word extra in the subject line instead of audition (example: Jane Smith, 12, Female - Extra) and directors will get back to you with more information.
