About the project: A loving send-up of the 1950s, small-town America, teenagers, and rock & roll, Bye Bye Birdie remains as fresh and vibrant as ever. Teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie has been drafted, so he chooses All-American girl Kim MacAfee for a very public farewell kiss. Featuring a tuneful high-energy score, plenty of great parts for teens, and a hilarious script, Birdie continues to thrill audiences around the world. Rate: Unpaid. Additional info: AUDITION PREPARATION: Prepare to sing 16-24 bars of music in the style of the show. Bring sheet music in the correct key, an accompanist will be provided. Some auditioners may be asked to read a short excerpt from the script. Please bring the audition form (see attachment) along with a resume and recent photo or headshot. Non-equity.
