About the project: Bye Bye Birdie is a classic musical that captures the energy and excitement of the late 1950s with a perfect blend of warmth, hilarity, and a timeless score. It follows the story of rockstar singer, Conrad Birdie, who has been drafted into the Army. As his farewell, the charismatic teen is chosen to appear on a national television show, giving rise to a frenzy of teenage girls who will do anything to be his last kiss. The show is a perfect blend of rock & roll, nostalgia, and good old-fashioned fun, making Bye Bye Birdie a must-see for any musical theatre fan. Additional info: 16-32 bars of a song of your choice. This song can be any genre, but should showcase your voice. A 1 minute monologue in any style. (You may also choose to do a cold read at auditions).
