Looking for boys & girls in 2nd through 12th grades for the "Peter Pan" Show. See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Based on J.M. Barrie’s classic tale and featuring an unforgettable score by Morris “Moose” Charlap and Jule Styne with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and Betty Comden and Adolph Green, Peter Pan is one of the most beloved and frequently performed family favorites of all time. This high-flying Tony Award-winning musical has been performed around the world and delighted audiences for 60 years. Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell, visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and, with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, a fierce Neverlandian tribe, a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook. Additional info: Performances. August 9 and 10 – 10 am. August 9-12 – 7:30 pm. August 12 and 13 – 2 pm. Prepare a 1 min cut (approximately 32 bars) of a musical theater song in the style of the show. Actors may be asked to read from a selection of short sides. Those auditioning should be prepared to list all conflicts or potential conflicts that overlap with a production’s rehearsal and performance schedule. Full company rehearsals will begin on July 3. Dress/Technical Rehearsals are August 4-8. Availability for dress/technical rehearsals and all performances is mandatory. (baritone/tenor) – The middle Darling child. A sly smile is always at home on John’s face. He has a mischievous twinkle in his eye and is always ready for an adventure.
