Isabella - the main character - suffers from a disease known as "myotonic dystrophy" (a problem that inhibits regular muscle movement and delays muscle relaxation. She is quite shy and delicately communicates with people she doesn't know too well. She often walks around with a cane in places where she isn't to be judged. (Note that this character does not need to have this disease to be considered in the audition.)
A jovial, high-spirited individual. Lily is the unlikely ray of sunshine in all of Isabella's darkness. She is a spontaneous, extroverted teen who likes to ponder everyday life's nuances, unlike Isabella who tends to struggle with allowing herself to see beauty. While Lily seems like any other normal girl, she walks with a prosthetic leg that is there as a symbol of her greatest surmounts.
