Teens Wanted for "Quirk" Short Student Film
The short student film "Quirk" is currently seeking teenage actors. More information can be found below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Elieson-- a lonely dreamer, recently heartbroken and emotionally frazzled, downloads “Quirk”, an anonymous dating app in order to move on from her ex. There are no real names, no faces, and (supposedly) no real stakes, but when Elieson hits it off with Prospero, a chatty academic, the relationship begins to tread into the realm of reality. Rate: No pay. Additional info: Rehearsals Begin: TBD. Run/Shoot: May 1, 2023 – May 5, 2023. When applying, please include self tape, a head-shot and resume.

Female Presenting. Elieson is a force of nature… when she manages to actually leave her apartment. She’s steady and stubborn but also has a great heart that manages to get her into terrible situations. She’s not technically an introvert; she’s just also not jazzed about meeting anyone ever again. Think Joe March in the 21st Century.
Female Presenting. Elison’s roommate and only real friend, Charlie is everything that Elison isn’t. Charlie can woo a room in seconds. Charlie has always known who she was and never second-guessed. She’s also a B-class influencer, but she doesn’t bring it up much. On top of being extremely talented, she’s just a genuinely good person (which never ceases to annoy Elison).
Male Presenting. Elieson’s online romantic interest. The female gaze: smart, kind, witty, he’s the whole package. Endearing and charismatic, he’s truly the only man a woman could actually trust.
Male Presenting. The real Prospero: Sawyer is unnaturally hot for a book freak, therefore he’s adopted the jock persona. Sweet and gentle, Sawyer is what girls actually want in a “nice guy” but can never choose a girl because somewhere there’s the “perfect girl” for him.
Male Presenting. Short king. Just one of the guys. A man’s man. A dude’s dude. The king of bros. But genuinely, a nice dude here for a good time.
