Maya is an imaginative young girl ball of energy surrounded by the love of her family. She's excitable, curious, and fueled by her grandfather's stories to build immersive worlds. After losing her parents, she meets a friend who helps her cope. This is the lead and core of this film.
TORREY is the new kid on the block. They stumble upon Maya while she's playing and are eager to make a new friend. They quickly jump into Maya's imaginative games, but secretly, they're more supportive than Maya could ever know.
