About the project: Biloxi Blues is a play written by Neil Simon. It is a semi-autobiographical work that follows a young soldier, Eugene Morris Jerome, during his time in basic training in Biloxi, Mississippi, during World War II. The play explores themes of adolescence, coming-of-age, and the challenges of military life. It premiered on Broadway in 1985 and was later adapted into a film in 1988.
