NOTE – Those actresses auditioning for the role of Winnie Foster will be seen first on each night of the auditions.
Please prepare a song from the show or similar style song (see recommendations in cast breakdown). Please be prepared to sing and for a dance audition. All characters must move well. Everyone should also be prepared for cold readings from the script as well.

"Tuck Everlasting" Play Needs Boys & Girls

The play "12 Angry Jurors" is currently seeking performers in their teenage years. More information can be found below.

About the project:
A 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. "He doesn't stand a wechance," mutters the guard as the 12 jurors are taken into the bleak jury room. It looks like an open-and-shut case—until one of the jurors begins opening the others' eyes to the facts. "This is a remarkable thing about democracy," says the foreign-born juror, "that we are notified by mail to come down to this place—and decide on the guilt or innocence of a person; of a man or woman we have not known before. We have nothing to gain or lose by our verdict. We should not make it a personal thing." But personal it is, with each juror revealing his or her own character as the various testimonies are re-examined, the murder is re-enacted, and a new murder threat is born before their eyes.

PERFORMANCES
7:30 pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, June 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10
2:00 pm Sundays June 4, 11
Callbacks April 5, 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
1. Read the script!  Actors will be or may be asked to read for all parts.
Be prepared for anything that the director asks of you.
2. Actors need to be at all rehearsals. Because of the way this play is written the directors cannot rehearse small pieces at a time so absences will leave a big hole in the rehearsals.
If one night is very important – like not showing up at your wedding anniversary party or the birth of your first child – that won’t be a problem.  If you have any questions about a conflict, please let the stage manager know before you audition.
3. If you are cast, you are expected to show up on time for rehearsals and calls.  If, for some reason, you can’t make the 6:30 rehearsal time, please let the stage manager know.
Rehearsal time of 6:30p means be prepared to start at 6:30 not arrive at 6:30p.
4. All actors are expected to behave in a professional manner at all times.
5. Repeated unprofessional behavior is cause for dismissal.
Have fun with your audition, when you enjoy yourself, the director will probably enjoy you. If you don’t get cast, that doesn’t mean you weren’t good enough, it might mean that you weren’t right for the show – please try again – the directors have tons of shows going on now with the two theaters so keep your chin up and keep on coming.
