Theater

Requirements:
1. Must be a slender flexible female shorter than 5'6". (15 minimum requires parental permission), and drug-free. 
2. No experience preferred. 
3. Though not required, dancing, modeling, or acting experience is a plus. 
4. Live in Houston. 
5. Love kids. 
6. Be available for rehearsals.
7. The paid amount $10/hr for rehearsals. A show will pay a minimum of $100.  More details in the contract.

About the project:
A zany rich-boy-meets-hometown-girl romantic comedy, Crazy For You tells the story of young New York banker Bobby Child, who is sent to Deadrock, Nevada, to foreclose on a rundown theatre. In Deadrock, Bobby falls for spunky Polly Baker, the theatre owner’s daughter. But Polly takes an instant dislike to the city slicker, so Bobby vows – through cunning, razzmatazz, and a hilarious case of mistaken identity – to win Polly’s heart and save the theatre. 

Additional info:
This initial audition will consist of one selected vocal side from the show. Please choose one side attached to perform for your initial audition. Two MP3 files (one with the vocal line; one with piano accompaniment only) and a PDF of the sheet music are available for all music audition sides. The “instrumental” track will be used for your audition.
Dance auditions will consist of a general dance call. Please come in comfortable clothes (probably not jeans) and appropriate shoes – Jazz or Character Shoes are preferred but tennis shoes are acceptable as well.  You will also need your tap shoes, as well, if you have them. All roles will participate in some capacity during musical numbers, so all auditioners are required to attend.
The production is scheduled to open on Friday, June 30, 2023, and close on Sunday, July 30, 2023.  Rehearsals are scheduled to begin on Monday, May 8, 2023. 
There will be a special adaptive performance on Thursday, July 20, 2023, for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. The ASL interpretation performance will be on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
Callbacks will be held on the evening of Tuesday, April 4.
