About the project: One of Disney’s most beloved stories soars to the stage as a practically perfect musical! Based on P.L. Travers’ cherished books and the classic film, Mary Poppins is a magical adventure for the whole family. Step into 1910 England and meet the Banks family, whose children, Jane and Michael, have sent countless nannies packing until the extraordinary Mary Poppins arrives. With her mix of magic, wisdom, and unforgettable adventures, she teaches the family to value one another, captivating both children and adults. Bursting with enchanting songs, dazzling dance, and stunning stagecraft, Mary Poppins delivers a spellbinding theatrical experience for audiences of all ages. Rate: All roles available, and all are volunteer and non-AEA. Additional info: Rehearsal Dates/Times: Planned but not confirmed: Mondays–Thursdays, 6:30-9:30 pm, and Sundays (exact timeframe TBD), beginning mid to late February 2027. Performance Dates/Times: April 23 – May 9, 2027 Fridays and Saturdays, 7:30 pm curtain Saturdays and Sundays, 2 pm curtain (Saturdays are 2-show days, except opening Saturday) Likely added performances on Thursdays (4/29 & 5/6), 7:30pm curtain Possible additional performances on Wednesdays (4/28 & 5/5), 7:30pm curtain Student matinee on Thursday, 4/29, 11am curtain BE AWARE!: Tech and performance conflicts are not acceptable. The directors may allow up to 6 total rehearsal conflicts. Conflicts may impact casting decisions. Please prepare a 1-minute vocal selection from a stylistically appropriate song (Disney songs are fine!) An accompanist will be provided. Bring sheet music in the appropriate key – please consider our accompanist, clearly mark cuts/changes, and make pages easy to turn. There will be no way to sing along with a track. Bring a hard copy of a headshot and resume, stapled back to back. All adult auditioners are required to attend the dance audition. Dance auditions are from 7:45pm – 8:30pm each audition night, which may be before or after your vocal audition appointment, so please plan accordingly. NOTE: If you only wish to be considered for Michael, Jane, you do NOT need to attend the dance audition. However, if you are interested in other roles and/or the ensemble, you will be asked to attend. Callbacks are by invitation only. Callbacks are Monday, November 16, and Tuesday, November 17, 2026, from 5:30–10 p.m. each day. It is highly unlikely the directors will need everyone for that entire time. A large group of adults and young performers who must sing and dance very well. Many small character parts and dancing solos. Tap is a plus but not required of all Ensemble. Some roles will be cast from the ensemble including Mrs. Corry, Neleus, The Bird Woman, Katie Nanna, The Park Keeper, Miss Lark, and Dancing Penguins (Dancing Penguins must be 5’3” or under).
