Youth Performers Needed for "Our Town" Show
Seeking young talent to join the production of "Our Town." Full details are provided below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Please prepare the monologue for the character that is your first choice to play. If you are auditioning for a character who does not have their own monologue, please pick any monologue that calls most to you. Memorization is not expected, but it is preferred. Callbacks: November 28th and 29th (if needed) from 12:30-4pm. Invitations and callback materials will be sent via e-mail. Not all roles will have a callback, so if you are not called back that does not mean that you are not cast. The deadline to sign up to guarantee a slot is November 18th. (Must look younger than George) George's younger sister. Later elopes with a traveling salesman and settles in Ohio. May be double cast.
Emily's younger brother. Died of a burst appendix on a Boy Scout camping trip. Could be played by a girl/woman dressed like a boy. May be double cast.
Delivers the newspapers and sets up an important sense of friendliness among the neighbors of the small town. The other two ensemble roles have a few lines.
