"How To Train Your Dragon Jr." Seeks Boys and Girls

About the project: How to Train Your Dragon JR. brings fire-breathing action, epic adventure, and big laughs to the stage. With a Book by Kate Thomas, Music by Veronica Mansour, and Lyrics by Kate Thomas and Veronica Mansour, this musical tells the story of Hiccup, a young Viking who defies tradition and befriends one of his deadliest foes - a ferocious dragon he calls Toothless. Together, the unlikely heroes fight against the odds to save both their worlds in this wonderful theatrical adaptation. Additional info: Directors welcome performers of all backgrounds and encourage all individuals interested in the production to join us for auditions. Directors are also seeking a diverse cast of performers for the production, and they hope that a key component of this cast will be its reflection of our local community. Therefore, roles are open to all races, ethnicities, and identities, as well as to many ages and experiences. Directors are asking those auditioning to prepare 16-32 bars of a song, roughly around a minute, from a Broadway musical of your choosing, not Disney-related. They are also asking you to provide your own accompanist track or instrumental for the song; a speaker will be provided at auditions. Note: There will be an invited callback on Monday, November 16th, 2026 at 6:30, the location and information will be disclosed after auditions for those invited to callbacks.
