About the project: Casting for a powerful, true story based on the life of Captain Thayer, MD, a Minnesota veteran who became a doctor during the Great Depression, serving his small farm community with compassion, then served on Tinian Island during WWII. After the Japanese surrendered, Captain Thayer, MD, was sent to Fukuoka, Japan, with his medical unit to do the aftercare. Healing was more than just physical after the war. Rate: No compensation.
