Young Talent Wanted For "Frozen" the Musical
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking young talent for "Frozen" the musical. See the details below. Additional info: Callbacks: October 15th at 6:00pm by invitation only. Auditionees who are interested in being considered for FROZEN should prepare one-minute of a musical theatre song. Legible sheet music must be provided for the audition pianist. No a cappella or prerecorded accompaniment will be permitted. Additionally, auditionees who are called back will participate in a movement audition and read/sing (if applicable) from the show. A little nice, a little naughty, with a big, round belly and a big, bouncy butt, Olaf is a loyal friend who loves summer…and warm hugs. He is joy, personified, and although he might not seem like the brightest toy in the toybox, he usually manages to be the most observant and insightful being in the room! Olaf has one big song in the tenor/alto range, and must be an actor with incredible comedic instincts.
At least 4-6 dancers who will be featured throughout the ensemble with strong dance technique as Snow Dancers, Ball Attendants, and Hidden Folk. These ensemble members will sing, but strength should be in dance. Stage Intimacy: handholding, embrace, significant partner dancing.
Even in Elsa’s younger days, we see her calm, cool personality and desire to live up to the expectations of her sister, parents, and the kingdom. She is initially delighted by her powers, but comes to fear them when she realizes the harm she could cause to the people she loves.
Anna exudes joy and excitement in every moment. She is delighted by life, and adores her older sister! Unlike Elsa, she doesn’t seem to feel the pressure of the expectations on a princess, but instead makes friends with literally anyone who comes across her path.
At least 4-6 young actors to play the children in the ensemble. The Children’s Ensemble will complete the world of Frozen bringing Arendelle to life as townspeople and Hidden Folk. This group will also include Young Anna and Elsa as well as their alternates.
