We are casting young actors for an educational public service announcement (PSA) focused on student safety, respect, and looking out for one another. The video will be designed for educational use in schools and will encourage students to recognize unhealthy peer pressure, support their classmates, and speak up when something doesn't feel right. All experience levels are welcome. Parent/guardian participation and approval will be required for minors.
3 roles
A new or younger student who wants to fit in with a group of older peers. Friendly, somewhat unsure of himself, and eager to make friends. He initially goes along with uncomfortable situations because he doesn't want to be seen as different. The role requires natural reactions and the ability to portray changing emotions.
A confident, socially influential student who pressures younger students to participate in activities they aren't comfortable with. He isn't portrayed as purely “evil”; instead, he believes the behavior is normal because it is what he has seen others do. The character gradually has to confront the consequences of his actions.
A group of students who create the social environment surrounding the main characters. They are confident, outgoing, and eager to maintain their group's traditions and reputation. Some members actively encourage the behavior, while others simply go along with it because they don't want to stand out. The role explores peer pressure, group dynamics, and the importance of choosing to speak up.
