Additional info: Callbacks: Monday, October 19 at 7:00pm Rehearsals start Nov 22 MON / WED / FRI 7pm-10pm with alternating SAT / SUN 1:30-4:30 Not every actor will be called to every rehearsal. Performance Dates: Mar 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 What to prepare and bring: - Everyone: 32 bar cut (about 1:00-1:30 minutes) of a musical theatre or rock/pop song that fits the style of the show and best showcases your vocal and acting abilities. Singing from the show is allowed. Directors will have a Bluetooth speaker. Bring a device that can connect and make sure your track is instrumental only (no backing vocals). No acapella auditions. - Everyone: Please bring a headshot and resume if you have them. Kids: you will participate in a dance call. Please watch the choreo video and practice ahead of time. Onstage Guitar, Range A3-D5 The band's lead guitarist and also a talented songwriter. He desperately wants to impress his father, who's usually too busy with work to take any interest in his family.
Range A3-G5. New girl Tamika is struggling to fit in at Horace Green. She conquers her shyness to reveal her phenomenal singing ability, and becomes a lead vocalist alongside Dewey in the band.
Onstage Piano/Keyboard, Range A3-D#5 Awkward and lacking in confidence, Lawrence is hesitant to attempt something “cool”, like joining a band, but he soon turns out to be a fantastic keyboardist.
Onstage Bass Guitar, Range A3-D#5 Quiet and serious, Katie already played the cello, but switched to bass at Dewey suggestion to fill out the band.
Onstage Drums, Range A3-D5 Freddie loves a bit of rowdiness and noise, making him a great drummer. His own father doesn't see his ability, constantly belittling his son.
A3-G5 Quiet girls with angelic voices. Marcy and Shonelle are the band’s back up singers and dancers.
A3-D5 Mason is a total whiz with technology, and creates special effects and fantastic lighting designs for the band’s performances using his laptop.
A3-D5 Flamboyant and artistic, Billy has a passionate interest in fashion, even though his father wants him to be an athlete like the other men in his family. He designs the band’s costumes.
A3-D5 James is tough and reliable, making him a good security guard for the band. Mostly, he keeps an eye out for anyone coming while the band secretly rehearse.
A3-D5 Sophie and Madison are technically the band’s roadies, but also serve as back up dancers during performances.
